UDAAN NIOS
All students need guidance to make the leap from high school to the next step. Students with
learning disabilities, however, need even more help because their leap is that much greater.
NIOS Udaan -The transition course at Saamarthya Foundation tries to ensure not only that
these children will be able to function as adults in the real world but also to increase the
likelihood they will pursue post-secondary education or higher level vocational training in order
to find dignified employment.
The program is designed by a team of experts with more than 20 years of collective workexperience working with students and young adults with Special needs.It aims to teach students practical and daily living skills to prepare them for future adultsituations in the home, community, and workplace. The program includes a multitude of areasincluding NIOS Secondary, Sr Secondary, pre-vocational skills, daily living skills,community-based instruction, self-care, and potential employment and employer connect
In the long term, the program aspires to scale up its operations by creating regional hubs,
training more educators, and integrating technology for wider outreach. Our vision is to establish
Udaan as a national model for inclusive education and employability, fostering independence
and dignity for neurodiverse individuals.
