1 in 8 children in India live with neuro-developmental disorders.
Fewer than 1 in 100 ever
make it into a classroom.

For many families, accessing early intervention, therapy and inclusive education remains difficult. Saamarthya works to change that - supporting families with guidance, therapy and community from early identification through meaningful inclusion.

The image shows a. child sitting on a bench reading a book. There is a blind man holding a leash and walking a dog. There is a woman walking towards him.

THE PROBLEM

Where Children Get Left Behind

Across India, children with developmental disabilities fall through the system, not once, but at every single stage. 70% children from low-income families go undiagnosed and unsupported.

For families with the fewest resources, every one of these stages is a mile they have to travel alone.

Saamarthya exists to walk it with them, all the way to the last mile.

THE PROBLEM

How We Close The Loop

Community Building

Build access, trust, and sustained engagement through community outreach, events, and partnerships.

Early Identification

Enable early detection and referral through screening and outreach.

Early Intervention

Deliver targeted one-to-one and group interventions based on individual child needs.

Capacity Building

Build parent and teacher capacity to sustain child progress beyond direct intervention.

Long-term Outcome

Contribute to lasting inclusion, resilience, and improved quality of life for children and their families.

Our Signature Program

Project Sobati partners with Anganwadi centers to strengthen early childhood development and support the early identification of developmental differences. With permission to work across 268 Anganwadi centers in PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation), and 178 centers in (Pune-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation), we are well on our way to close the last mile.

TESTIMONIALS

From the Parents

A big thanks to Saamarthya for doing something for the parents. We often don't get the time to sit and reflect and do something for ourselves. I look forward to the Sukoon sessions every month!

Anchal Patil

I have observed a change in my child. Now he is able to independently handle daily life money matters.

Rohit Bhagwat

Sameer’s resistance to communicate in English has decreased. He now listens to sentences I model.

Aashima Singh

We have been doing online classes for our son for the past 10 months. We can see lot of improvements in our son, and your therapist is patiently handling it and is very supportive during the sessions. She is a well-trained special educator and used to give suggestions on what can be done with him.
