LEND TRAINING

At Saamarthya Foundation, we believe that fostering empathy and inclusion in the classroom is essential for the success and well-being of all children. Our LEND (Learning Empathy, Nurturing Diversity) workshop is designed to equip educators with the skills, knowledge, and resources to create positive, inclusive learning environments where every child, regardless of their background or abilities, can thrive.

Learning Empathy, Nurturing Diversity

The LEND workshop is tailored for educators teaching grades 1–5 and focuses on implementing an empathy-driven curriculum that develops essential social-emotional and communication skills. By teaching students to understand and appreciate their differences, the curriculum helps cultivate kindness, respect, and self-awareness, laying the foundation for a supportive classroom environment.

Key Features of the LEND Workshop:

  • Empathy-Based Curriculum: The workshop provides an in-depth framework to help teachers integrate empathy into daily lessons, encouraging students to be more mindful of their peers and themselves.

  • Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): The curriculum focuses on fostering critical emotional intelligence skills, such as self-regulation, empathy, and effective communication.

  • Inclusive Practices: Teachers are guided on how to accommodate diverse learning needs and create an inclusive classroom culture where all students feel valued and understood.

  • Practical Tools and Resources: The accompanying LEND Toolkit offers a variety of activities, strategies, and resources that teachers can easily incorporate into their classrooms, making empathy-building an integral part of their teaching approach.

  • Interactive Sessions: The workshop encourages active participation and provides teachers with real-world examples and case studies to facilitate understanding and application of the concepts discussed.
